WHAT AFFECTS MACHINE SIZING
Nominal figures do not describe every material or line. Machine sizing should be tied to the conditions that determine how consistently the product can be presented and separated.
These affect loading, presentation and the amount of product moving through the inspection zone.
The reject profile and how clearly it differs from accepted product shape the test and configuration review.
Dust, moisture, bridging, overlap and uneven feeding can change a short test into a different production result.
Removal must be considered alongside good-product carryover in the reject stream.
Upstream cleaning, elevation, compressed air, electrical supply, discharge and footprint all need review.
SAMPLE TESTING
A representative test helps the buyer compare what entered the machine with what was accepted and rejected. Record the test conditions so the feed, accepted product and reject stream can be compared on the same basis.

A useful answer depends on the product and line conditions. These are the questions that narrow the discussion without promising a result before testing.
Start with product presentation. Chute platforms suit material that can flow and feed consistently through channels. Belt platforms deserve review when the product is fragile, irregular or difficult to present evenly. A representative sample helps confirm the route.
Provide the material, size range, visible defects, foreign material, feed condition, normal throughput, accepted-product target, utilities and available line space. Photos and a representative sample make the discussion more useful.
That cannot be decided from a model name alone. Each material may behave differently and may need different feeding, settings or handling. List every material you plan to run and review them separately.
Production sizing should reflect sustained feed under normal product variation. A short peak figure may not represent upstream cleaning, feeding consistency, defect ratio or the accepted-product requirement.
It should identify the feed condition and test settings, then allow the accepted product and reject stream to be reviewed together. This makes residual defects and good-product carryover visible.
